How does the Therm-A-Sleep range work?
By dissipating heat away from the body, the fabric technology used in the Therm-A-Sleep Collection has a cooling effect on the skin. The sleep surface helps to regulate the sleeper’s body temperature and maintain an even core body temperature throughout the night.
Therm-A-Sleep’s innovative cooling fabric also wicks moisture from the skin, drawing sweat away from the body for speedy evaporation, giving a cooler, drier, more comfortable sleep. The fibres used in the fabric have 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton, an important quality given that hot sleepers sweat more at night.
The range comes with Protect-A-Bed’s exclusive Miracle Membrane backing. This whisper-quiet fabric is completely waterproof yet breathable, ensuring a cool and comfortable sleep while protecting the mattress from spills and stains, and providing an effective barrier against allergens and dust mites.
There are 3 ranges in the Therm-A-Sleep Collection, offering varying cooling and comfort levels:
- Snow: Cold-to-the-touch with Nordic Chill fibres for an instant cooling effect. Luxurious and silky smooth, Snow is designed for those that appreciate performance fabrics and have a desire for the coolest night’s rest. Nordic chill is smoother than cotton and pulls heat away from the body almost 10 times faster than cotton would.
- Cloud: With a soft Tencel top surface, Cloud offers the sleeper an extra luxurious cushioning comfort layer to enhance sleep conditions.
- Cool: Also offering the sleeper a Tencel top surface, this range is smooth and soft.
Both Cloud and Cool feature Tencel sleep surfaces. Thermoregulating Tencel is softer than silk and cooler than linen. It is made from natural wood-based fibres giving it a soft, silky smooth, non-irritating surface, making it hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skins.
Tencel possesses high strength and wear properties, making it long lasting.
